Residential Blueprints

Designing the perfect home is a dream for many and it all starts with the blueprint. Blue Sky Drafting is focused on residential blueprints that combine creativity, functionality, and efficiency. 3 full sets and 1 digital copy are included in your quote and include all of the items listed below. Price may vary by square footage.*

The plans you receive will include fully specified blueprints for each sheet included with the plan, whether it is exterior elevations, the foundation plan, or the individual floor plans for each level.

What's Included in a Blueprint Set?

The majority of our house plans include the following:

General-House-Plan

General Floor Plan

A floor plan is a detailed, scaled diagram of a home's layout, showcasing the arrangement of rooms, walls, doors, and windows.

Exterior-Elevations

Exterior Elevations (in color available)

Exterior elevations are detailed drawings that showcase the outward appearance of a home from each side—typically the front, back, and both sides.

Foundation-Plan

Foundation Plan

A foundation plan is a detailed diagram that outlines the layout and design of a home's foundation.

Electrical-Plan

Electrical Plan (in color)

An electrical plan is a detailed diagram that shows the layout and wiring of a home’s electrical system.

Door-and-Window-Schedule

Door and Window Schedule

A door and window schedule is a comprehensive chart that lists all the doors and windows in a home.

Roof-Plan

Roof Plan

A roof plan is a detailed drawing that shows the layout and design of a home’s roof.

Garage-Floor-Plan

Carports and Garages

A carport and garage plan outlines the design and layout of an enclosed or open shelter for vehicles, typically attached to or detached from the main house.

Deck-and-porch-floor-plan

Exterior Decks and Porches

An exterior deck and porch plan outlines the design and layout of outdoor living spaces, including decks, patios, and porches.

Each of our blueprints are unique. It is important to consult with your contractor on your exact specifications.

Not Typically Included With Our Blueprints

The following sections are not typically included with our blueprints. While our blueprints include all the information needed to construct your home, some of these additional items may be required by your local municipality. Prior to purchasing a set of blueprints, we recommend you contact your builder, a local engineer, and building officials to learn your city, county, and state building codes. Cross reference the plan detail page to determine what else is needed.

Architectural or Engineering Stamp

Depending on the city, county, and state building requirements, blueprints may need to be reviewed by an architect or engineer for structural details and code standards. Contact a local architect or engineer to verify the requirements for your location.

Site Plan

A site plan essentially shows how the house will fit on the lot between the building lines and the setbacks. It also shows which sides the garage should be built on and where parking, drainage, sewer lines, water lines, lighting, landscaping, and walkways should be constructed. Contact a civil engineer to obtain the site plan.

Mechanical Drawings

These types of technical drawings show information about heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. Contact a local HVAC company to obtain mechanical drawings.

Plumbing Drawings

These drawings show the location of all plumbing materials throughout the house and outside. Contact a local plumbing contractor.

Energy Calculations

These calculations determine how energy efficient your new home will be. Contact a local engineer to dictate these calculations.

Truss Packages

This information determines the structural framework of the roof and/or floor system to build the home. Contact a local truss company.
